Can Color Bricklet used as a light sensor

Hi guys,

 

I need a light sensor for my project to check light intensity in a room. I know that there is the Ambient Light Bricklet 2.0 but I am wondering if the Color Bricklet can be used as an alternative since it gives more features.

Yes, the get_illuminance function of the Color Bricklet returns the same unit (lux) as the Ambient Light Bricklet.
